Amazon, the e-commerce giant that also offers various services under them, is now reportedly developing two smart glasses with a focus on different user groups. With this move, Amazon is also joining the AR smart glasses arena currently led by Meta, in addition to being joined by Xiaomi, Samsung, Google, Snap, and HTC.
Amazon is reportedly developing one smart glass focused on consumers, and another for Amazon drivers and delivery people.
One of the models is said to come with a display panel on one eye, and is also equipped with a microphone, speaker, and camera. As many already know, Amazon already has its own AI-powered virtual assistant offering, called AI.
Amazon is expected to introduce their glasses around 2026 or 2027.
