OpenAI has previously come up with a more affordable subscription plan focused on developing markets, called ChatGPT Go. Initially, it was introduced for the Indian market, and now it has also been expanded to the Indonesian market.
Indonesia is said to be among the five largest markets for ChatGPT, and in just one year, the number of ChatGPT users in Indonesia has tripled.
In Indonesia, ChatGPT Go is offered at a price of IDR 75,000 per month. ChatGPT Go offers access to a message limit 10 times higher than the free plan, 10 times more message generation, and 2 times the memory compared to the free plan.
At the moment, it is not known how OpenAI chose to introduce this offering. With the offering in Southeast Asia, we may see it gradually expanded to other countries after this.
