Google Veo 3 Now Generates Vertical Videos and 1080p Resolution

Google has updated their Veo 3 generative artificial intelligence (AI) so that it can now generate vertical videos and support 1080p resolution. In addition, the cost of generating videos has also been reduced compared to before.

The vertical videos generated are at a 9:16 ratio. This allows them to be used for content such as YouTube Shorts, Instagram Stories and TikTok. To change the generation to vertical, select the “aspect ratio” setting in the parameter settings. Changing the video resolution to full HD also needs to be done through the same settings.

The cost of becoming a video using the Veo 3 model is now $0.40/second compared to $0.75/s. Meanwhile, using the Veo 3 Fas model, it is now $0.15/s compared to $0.40/s. Google Veo 3 was announced during Google I/O in May with the ability to not only generate realistic-looking videos but also generate audio to match them.
