Honda launched the WN7 electric motorcycle which is a commercial model of the EV Fun Concept concept shown at EICMA Italy a while ago. The WN7 takes the name W from the “Be The Wind” concept, N for “Naked” and “7” for the output class of the electric motor used.
It has a battery that provides a travel distance of up to 130 km on a single charge. The Li-Ion battery is of the permanent type that cannot be removed as per the standard set by the Honda consortium a few years ago. CCS2 charging support allows the battery to be charged from 20-80% in 30 minutes.
In terms of performance, it has power comparable to a 600cc ICE motorcycle and torque comparable to a 1000cc motorcycle. The motorcycle is equipped with a 5″ TFT screen that shows various driving information that is compatible with the RoadSync application on smartphones.
Because there is no engine, the WN7 has a storage space with a volume of 20 liters under the seat. The braking system used is two discs at the front and one at the rear. In Europe, the Honda WN7 is sold for £12,999 (~RM 74,000) each.
