IQOO has revealed some key features for its latest flagship phone IQOO 15 at an event held in China recently. It is seen focusing on new display technology, self-developed gaming chip and overall performance improvements.
The iQOO 15 will be equipped with a Samsung 2K OLED screen that uses the world's first M14 material. The display offers higher brightness levels and better energy efficiency and supports eye protection mode as low as 1 nit. It also receives Dolby Vision certification with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz and a touch sampling rate of 3200Hz to ensure a responsive gaming experience.
The Q3 gaming chip developed by iQOO is also in the spotlight as it is the industry's first standalone graphics chip that supports super-resolution, super-frame and ray tracing. The chip is built using low-power efficiency technology from TSMC. It offers 60% faster performance, 40% better power efficiency, 50% larger cache and up to 400% increased AI capabilities.
The phone will be equipped with the QNSS engine that fully supports ray tracing for a more realistic large-scale gaming experience. iQOO claims its performance is comparable to PCs, capable of maintaining 2K resolution at 144FPS for an hour and supporting graphics enhancement for intensive games. More details are expected to be announced ahead of the official launch in October.
