Maybank has announced that Maybank2u password reset can now only be done via the MAE app. This change only affects Individual and Sole Proprietor users. Meanwhile, M2UBiz and M2E users can still use the existing method as usual.
If users still remember their password but want to change it, they can log in to the MAE app and update it via security settings. If they have forgotten their password, they can completely reset it in the MAE app by following the steps provided.
To reset, users need to select ‘Forgot Password’ on the app login page. Then, verify their identity via Secure2u using the same authentication method as during registration. Either using a debit card, credit card or access number.
Users need to enter a six-digit PIN, scan their identity card or passport and take a selfie for verification. The username will also be displayed for review before setting a new password and confirming it via Secure2u. This process can only be done once within 24 hours for security reasons.
