NVIDIA Invests $5 Billion in Intel – Focuses on PC and Data Center Product Development and Integration



NVIDIA today made a surprise announcement by announcing that it will invest $5 billion in Intel. In parallel with this investment, the two parties will work more closely on the development of a number of products focused on PCs and also for data centers, in addition to involving artificial intelligence.


This collaboration will also focus on facilitating the integration of NVIDIA and Intel products and architectures. Intel will develop x86 chips that integrate RTX GPUs, thus offering better PC products. Meanwhile, for data center products, the two will integrate with each other.


Previously, the United States government has also taken an equity stake in Intel, in addition to Softbank has also made investments in Intel. With these various investments, it is expected to strengthen Intel and its product offerings in the market.
