Gmail has now informed users that it will end support for POP effective January 2026. In addition to the feature, Google will also be ending the Gmailify feature in Gmail on the same date.
POP is a third-party email account connection feature in Gmail, which is limited to only one device and cannot synchronize received emails in real-time.
Gmailify is a feature that offers special additional features to third-party email accounts in Gmail, including spam protection, or automatic organization of the inbox.
Alternatively, Google recommends that users use IMAP support to continue receiving third-party emails in Gmail.
