Many health indicators can be seen from the stool that is passed out of the body every day. For example, dark urine is an early sign of kidney damage and hard stool is due to lack of water. But how many of our readers look at their stool while in the toilet? Kohler, a manufacturer of toilet equipment, has launched the Dekoda camera that will automatically analyze the body's stool.
It is installed on the toilet bowl and the Dekoda sensor will detect blood in the urine, measure the body's hydration level and analyze the health of the stomach based on the stool. According to Kohler, Dekoda was developed after more than 10 years of research with more than 1. 2 million data points collected.
More than one person can use Dekoda in a household because before using the toilet, a fingerprint scan must be done to verify identity. For those concerned about privacy, the Dekoda camera only looks down so there will be no issue of other photos being taken. Kohler opens Dekoda pre-orders at a price of $599 (~RM 2531) one.
