Leica M EV1 Launched – First Leica M Series with EVF Priced at RM41,850

Luxury camera brand Leica has launched their latest camera under the M series, the Leica M EV1. With the introduction of the Leica M EV1, Leica has combined the advantages of EVF (Electronic Viewfinder) technology with the traditional values and iconic design of the M series.

The Leica M EV1 is designed to provide a simpler, more comfortable and more accurate shooting experience regardless of the user's visual acuity level. In terms of appearance, the Leica M EV1 still has the iconic design of the other M series by using diamond-patterned leather on the camera body. In addition, it also has an FN lever that can be assigned its function on the front of the camera.

This model uses the same Full-Frame BSI-CMOS sensor as the Leica M11, complete with Triple Resolution Technology that allows users to choose a recording resolution of 60, 36 or 18 megapixels in DNG or JPEG format. Now Leica M EV1 users can enjoy a preview of the actual image as seen through the use of a high-resolution 5.76 megapixel EVF.

In terms of processor chip, it uses the Maestro III chip to ensure fast and accurate image processing. In addition, it also has 64GB of internal storage and has an SD card slot for additional storage. In addition, the Leica M EV1 also comes with Content Credentials technology which is an important feature for photographers to ensure the authenticity of photos taken through digital signatures.

The Leica M EV1 will be sold worldwide including Malaysia starting October 23, 2025, priced at RM 41,850. It is available at the Leica Store, Leica Online Store, and authorized Leica distributors nationwide.
