ParkEasy App Stops Accepting Bookings for EV Charging – Users Asked to Switch to Shell Recharge App

Shell has now announced that, starting October 15, 2025, the ParkEasy app will no longer accept bookings for electric car charging, instead users are asked to download the Shell Recharge App from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store to continue using it. Shell is asking users to transition from ParkEasy to this new app before November 30, 2025.

Existing ParkEasy users need to download and register a new account to use it. Users are asked to use the same phone number and email for registration to facilitate the transition of various statuses to the new account.

For those of you who have credit on your account, you need to go to the ParkEasy credit transfer page, and go through the process. After going through the process, users are expected to receive credit within 14 working days on the new Shell Recharge App.

The reason for the transition was not stated, other than Shell stating that this step is in an effort to improve the charging experience and offer various additional functions to electric car drivers in Malaysia and Singapore.
