Realme has announced the launch date for its latest flagship phone, the Realme GT8, which is scheduled to take place on October 21, 2025 in China. The global launch is expected to follow shortly after. October is now seen as a month full of flagship device launches from various brands, thus providing more choices to users.
Interestingly, the announcement comes after Realme confirmed its collaboration with Ricoh Imaging which will be introduced for the first time through the GT8. As a result of this collaboration, the GT8 Pro will feature five special color profiles inspired by the Ricoh GR camera, namely Positive Film, Negative Film, High Contrast Black & White, Standard, and Black & White.
For specifications, the device will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip which should promise the best performance. Realme also confirmed that the GT8 will enter the Malaysian market but its local launch date will be announced later.
In terms of design, the GT8 is expected to come with a boxy design and is different from the curved design on the GT7. This change is in line with the current industry trend where many manufacturers are starting to move towards this type of design. More information on full specifications and additional features will only be revealed on the official launch day.
