Threads, the latest social media app under Meta, has been offering messaging support since July 2025, allowing Threads users to send and receive messages to each other. Most recently, starting today, Threads has also added a small update, allowing group messaging to be done through the service.
With this step, users can add up to 50 people to a group conversation, and discuss and chat using the Threads app. Like other messaging services, you can also name the group. Meta says that later you will also be able to generate a special link to invite or invite others to join the messaging group.
This new update is being introduced gradually to all users worldwide.
