Threads is testing a new feature that will allow users to hide comment replies directly from the Activity tab. Through the ‘eye icon’ located in the lower right corner of the reply notification, users can limit exposure to unwanted comments more easily and quickly.
This feature gives users additional control in managing their communication space in a more secure and private way. Previously, Threads already offered the function of hiding replies through a menu on each post, where hidden replies would be moved to a special section and only visible to the user and the comment author.
To hide a comment, users need to press Options next to the comment and select Hide for everyone. Hidden comments can be viewed again by scrolling down the thread and pressing the See More option. If users want to restore all the comments, users can press Options and select Unhide.
