Yoodo Rebranded as Spark – Focusing on eSIM and App-Based Telecommunications Services

CelcomDigi has now started offering an update to the Yoodo app or known for a while as “Formerly Yoodo”. The new name for it is Spark, and along with this update, CelcomDigi is also positioning Spark as an eSIM-focused telecommunications service through it.

Spark is also focusing on offering through the app. Users only need to download the Spark app, then select the desired number, choose a plan, and activate it directly through the app.

A total of three plans are shown through Spark at the moment, namely 3GB (4G) at RM15 per month, 40GB (4G/5G) + 100 call minutes at RM25 per month, and 200GB (4G/5G) + 100 call minutes at RM65 per month.

From our testing, existing Yoodo plans still seem to be automatically renewed, but there is no longer an option to change plans like before, and three new plan options are given if you want to change.

For those of you who use the “Formerly Yoodo” app, you will start receiving this new update starting today on the Apple AppStore and Google Play Store. You can also refer to the official Spark page on CelcomDigi for more information about this new service.
