Android PCs Using Snapdragon X and X Elite Under Development

The most powerful chip offered by Qualcomm is the Snapdragon X series which at this point can only be used in laptops with Windows. These Arm-based Windows computers are developed to compete with MacBooks which also use Arm-based chips. The latest documents show that Android PCs with Snapdragon X and Snapdragon X Elite chips are being developed.

These Android PCs will use the Android 16-based operating system and it is generated by the Purwa chip which is the code for the Snapdragon X series. It is still unknown when this device will be launched but what is certain is that its existence was revealed by Qualcomm during the Snapdragon Summit event in September.

This may be an Android-based PC combined with Chrome OS. This was also confirmed by Google in July. It is seen as Google's answer to iPadOS 26 which now works more like macOS 26 with many borrowed features.

An Android PC with Snapdragon X chip can be seen as a competitor to the iPad Pro with the M5 chip and the MacBook Air with the Apple A19 Pro chip which is believed to be launched in the near future.
