ByteDance has previously tried several times to find a new owner for their gaming studio, Mooton. One of the popular games under the studio is Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. So far, they have not sold it yet.
However, things may change soon. According to a new report, ByteDance is reportedly in talks with Saudi Arabian firm, Savvy Games Group for this purpose.
For now, it is said to be still in the discussion stage. Savvy Games already has investments in a number of gaming studios, and also carries a mandate to position Saudi Arabia as a hub for games and esports. This acquisition of Moonton will certainly allow them to bring various esports matches and leagues involving Mobile Legends to the country.
ByteDance previously acquired Moonton in 2021 for a value of around $4 billion.
