Canon R6 III Launched With 32.5MP Full-Frame Sensor

The Canon R6 III camera was launched today with a 32.5MP full-frame CMOS sensor paired with a Digic X image processing chip. The sensor used is the same as that used in the previous Canon C50.

In terms of design, it is similar to the R6 II but is now about 30 times heavier. Other changes brought are that it now supports CFexpress Type B and SD memory cards, an HDMI Type A port and uses an L6-E6P battery.

Video recording capabilities are 7K RAW Light up to 59.95fps or 4Kp120. The image recording system is also improved with a faster Dual Pixel CMOS AF autofocus system. Up to 12 fps can be taken using the mechanical shutter or up to 40 fps using the electronic shutter.

On the back there is a 3-inch touch-sensitive LCD screen that can be pulled out and a 3.69 million-dot OLED EVF. Other specifications include a USB-C USB 3.2 Gen 2 port, audio jack, microphone jack, Bluetooth 5.1 and WiFi IEEE 802.11b/g/n/a/ac.

The Canon R6 III is priced starting at $2,799 (~RM 11,706) for the body only and $4,049 (~RM 16,935) with the RF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM kit lens.
