OpenAI is apparently bringing in a key individual to build its artificial intelligence technology, and he is Sachin Katti, Intel's Chief Technology Officer and Artificial Intelligence Officer who has only been in the position for the past four months.
Sachin Katti has been at Intel for four years and led the company's networking, edge computing and artificial intelligence divisions.
This has apparently been known to Intel stakeholders, and CEO Lip-Bu Tan will take over as CTO and head of AI for a while, while they look for a replacement for Sachin Katti.
According to Greg Brockman, President and co-founder of OpenAI, Sachin will be responsible for designing and building the infrastructure the company needs to create the general artificial intelligence technology that the company wants to produce.
