With many portable PC gaming consoles on the market today, Microsoft has begun to introduce a full-screen mode for the Xbox application called Xbox Full Screen Experience which was first introduced on the ASUS ROG Xbox Ally and MSI Claw A8 console series.
However, the full-screen mode has been limited until now, and requires users to download a third-party application to gain access to Xbox FSE. However, Microsoft now seems to be ready to introduce this mode to all other portable PC consoles.
Microsoft today announced that an update for Xbox Full Screen Experience will begin to be offered today, and all other brand consoles that run the WIndows 11 operating system will be able to activate the function by default.
Xbox Full Screen Experience allows these consoles to enter directly into the Xbox application on the consoles without activating Explorer. The advantage of this mode is that it will reduce device memory usage and can be used for a smoother gaming experience.
Meanwhile, Microsoft also announced that they will begin testing the use of the Xbox Full Screen Experience on more traditional computer designs, to see if it is a feature that can be utilized by more users.
