Sony announced its financial report for Q3 2025 today and confirmed that the PlayStation 5 console has sold 84.2 million units so far. This is an increase of 3.9 million compared to the 80.3 million reported last August.
The PS5 is now the 9th highest-selling console in the world or the seventh highest if mobile consoles are not included in the list. Sony also confirmed that the PlaySttaion. Network had 119 million monthly active users as of the end of September 2025. A total of 80.3 million PS5 and PS4 games were also sold in the three months before the end of September 2025.
