Through the recently presented Terengganu State Budget 2026, it is now seen that the Syariah Court in the state will begin to introduce support for proceedings via remote communication technology. This will allow the parties involved to access the trial and not miss it.
The full implementation method for this has not yet been shared.
In addition, the state of Terengganu will also enact an enactment relating to online syariah criminal offences to enable enforcement and legal action to be taken, thus reducing and curbing the offences.
