Apple's top leadership is in turmoil again after Johny Srouji, Apple's Senior Vice President of Hardware Technology, reportedly wants to leave the company, according to a Bloomberg report. Sroiji, who led Apple's development and migration from Intel chips to Apple Silicon, is said to have met with Tim Cook to express his desire to join another company.
All of this comes as Apple begins to replace key leadership who are either retiring or poached by competitors, as happened to Alan Dye last week. To prevent Srouji from leaving the company, he may be promoted to CTO with a larger compensation package than he currently receives.
At the same time, Tim Cook is also rumored to be retiring before assuming the position of chairman of the company in the near future. The position of Apple CEO is then believed to be held by John Ternus, who is currently the senior vice president of hardware engineering.
