Government to Implement National Address System Starting Early 2026

The government will begin a pilot project for the implementation of the National Address System (NAS), starting early 2026. A total of nine areas will be selected to implement and try out this pilot project.

Through the National Address System, the government wants to standardize addresses for all premises throughout the country, including in village, rural, and interior areas. This implementation will not only facilitate postal services, but also help in the economic, security, emergency, urban planning, utilities, local government, and others.

Under the national address system, all addresses will also be given a unique location identification method and a specific geocode for it.

For now, the full structure and implementation, including technical aspects, have not been shared publicly yet. Perhaps we will hear more about the implementation of this pilot project soon.
