How many of our readers still remember the existence of Jolla when they once offered smartphones and tablets with the Linux-based Sailfish OS operating system? If you are among those who are interested in Jolla devices, next year the new Jolla Phone will be launched with the Sailfish OS 5 operating system.
The Jolla Phone comes with a 6.36″ AMOLED FHD screen, powered by a MediaTek chip, 12GB of RAM, 256GB of storage and a removable 5500 mAh battery. This is matched with a main camera equipped with a 50MP wide-angle lens and a 13MP ultra-wide lens. There is no information about the selfie camera at this time. The final specifications have also not been finalized by Jolla when the device was announced last Saturday.
The device supports 5G networks, NFC, microSD card support, a side fingerprint scanner and also supports operating system updates for 5 years. Another interesting feature included is a physical button to improve privacy.
Only 2000 Jolla Phones will be produced with pre-orders open until January 4, 2026. It can be ordered for €99 (~RM 474) and the promo price is €499 (~RM 2391).
