Smartphones developed for gaming purposes are nothing new. ASUS, Razer, Lenovo, iQOO, RedMagic and others have already entered the global and local markets and only a few of them have survived to this day.
But leading Chinese gaming brand, Ayaneo, known for their portable gaming consoles, has recently opened a crowdfunding page on Kickstarter for their first Android gaming smartphone called the Ayaneo Pocket Play.
In terms of design, this smartphone is not far from another gaming smartphone released by Sony in 2011, the Sony Xperia Play. Just like the device, the Ayaneo Pocket Play has a sliding mechanism that provides access to physical game controls such as the D-Pad button, input buttons and so on. It also comes with touch analog controls to control movement and camera direction in the game.
So far, Ayaneo has only shown the design of the Pocket Play device. Specifications such as display size and type, processor chip used, along with the Android operating system version, memory and storage offerings are not yet known.
These details are expected to be introduced in the future, along with the price of the device, which is also unknown at this time.
