The Cloudflare Radar 2025 Year in Review report has been published, revealing some interesting data on global internet usage throughout the year. First of all, global internet traffic increased by 19% compared to 2024 with 43% of traffic now coming from mobile devices. Of this, 65% is from Android devices and the remaining 35% is from iOS devices.
In Malaysia, 75% of mobile devices are now using Android and the rest is iOS. The Southeast Asian country with the highest number of Android users is Myanmar with 90% while the lowest is Vietnam with 53%, not Singapore which has 65% Android users.
The most popular service is still Google, followed by Facebook, Apple, Microsoft and Instagram. Among social media platforms, Facebook is still at the top, followed by Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat and LinkedIn. The video streaming platform with the highest traffic is YouTube, followed by Netflix, Twitch, Roku and Disney+. Apple TV is nowhere to be found in the top 10 most popular streaming platforms
