Silent calls are now identified as one of the fraud tactics that use AI technology to imitate the victim’s voice. This method is often used by scammers for the purpose of asking for money or bypassing security systems.
To address this threat, Honor has introduced a new AI Voice Cloning Detection feature on the Honor Magic8 Pro model. This feature works to detect AI-generated voices, thus protecting users from fraud attempts using cloned voice technology. In addition, this security function will be available via a software update scheduled for the end of December 2025.
AI Voice Cloning Detection is an additional security feature on the Honor Magic8 Pro that complements the existing AI Deepfake Detection function. This feature will analyze calls to detect cloned voices, and users will receive an alert if there is any abnormality. In addition, the enhanced AI Deepfake technology also protects video calls as it can scan up to eight individuals simultaneously to detect digitally altered faces.
