As we know, many computer device manufacturers have also introduced mobile PC consoles that allow users to play their favorite computer games anywhere.
Microsoft recently introduced the Xbox Full Screen Experience mode, which allows the Xbox application on the Windows 11 operating system to be activated without requiring the Explorer feature to be activated. This feature provides greater memory space and additional processing power that can be utilized by computer games on consoles such as the ASUS ROG Xbox Ally X at first.
With the latest update, Microsoft says that this Full Screen Experience mode can now be used by other mobile PC consoles such as the MSI Claw A8, the Lenovo Legion Go series and so on, as long as it runs the Windows 11 operating system with the latest update.
Microsoft also introduced Advanced Shader Delivery (ASD), which is a feature that downloads shader components or graphics programs that normally need to be processed in parallel by the graphics chip when any input is made in a computer game.
Previously, shaders would typically only load when the game was started, which would take a long time. With the ASD feature, these parts would be downloaded earlier, which would not only allow the game to launch faster, but also reduce the load on the graphics chip components and battery consumption.
This optimization depends on whether game developers want to use it. Microsoft says that so far more than 12 game titles offered through the Xbox App already support it, and more titles will arrive later.
In addition, Microsoft has also been seen updating the Prism driver to allow laptops or consoles powered by ARM processing chips (Qualcomm Snapdragon X) to run games offered through the Xbox app, and it is expected to be optimized further in the future.
Microsoft also said that they are testing the ability of laptops to use the Xbox Full Screen Experience feature, and it can be accessed if you use a Windows Insider Program account.
If you are a tester in the program, Xbox FSE mode is accessible on desktops and various laptop designs running the Windows 11 operating system.
The Auto Super Resolution feature (a PC game resolution upscaling similar to AMD FSR and NVIDIA DLSS) is also being tested, with Microsoft looking to implement the functionality if a game doesn't support one or both of AMD's or NVIDIA's Super Resolution features. The feature is expected to be available on the ASUS ROG Xbox Ally X early next year.
