With the uncertainty of regulatory approval for acquisitions, various giants are now choosing to license technology and acquire team members from other companies. Most recently, NVIDIA announced that they will license Groq technology, and various members of the Groq team will join NVIDIA.
Under this agreement, the president, founder and a number of Groq teams will join NVIDIA, and further expand the Groq technology licensed to NVIDIA. According to several reports, NVIDIA paid around $20 billion to license the technology, in addition to acquiring a number of Groq assets under this agreement.
Gro stated that they will continue to operate GroqCloud, and will have new management for it.
Groq previously offered access to a number of artificial intelligence models, allowing developers to use them in the development of their own artificial intelligence integrations on their services. With this licensing, let's look forward to what other changes NVIDIA will have in the coming months.
