The Rainbow Six Siege browser was attacked by a group of hackers yesterday, causing all players to receive 2 billion credits, Renown, Alpha Packs, and various exclusive skins for free. The hackers also banned the developer's account in the attack carried out early Sunday morning Malaysia time.
Due to this attack, all Rainbow Six Siege browsers have now been deactivated by Ubisoft for a reset process and patching the vulnerability that caused the attack. As of early this morning, Rainbow Six Siege is still inaccessible to players and Ubisoft says they are actively working to restore the game to users. The game is inaccessible on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series S/X and Xbox One.
Ubisoft will restore the game to its pre-browser settings. Players who spend the credits received will not be banned. All transactions made after the hack will be canceled and all items "gifted" by the hackers will be revoked.
