Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold Launched With 10-Inch Tri-Fold Screen and Snapdragon 8 Elite



The Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold was officially launched this morning, making it Samsung's first tri-fold screen device and the second after the Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design. The Galaxy Z Trifold features a 10-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X, QXGA+ main screen with 120Hz LTPO support. This screen can be folded three times. It also features a 6.5-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X, FHD+ secondary screen on the back, also with 120Hz LTPO support.


The device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, paired with 16GB of RAM, up to 1TB of storage, and a 5,600mAh battery that supports 45W wired and 15W wireless charging.


The main camera consists of a 200MP wide-angle lens with OIS, a 12MP ultra-wide and a 10MP telephoto with OIS that can do 3X optical zoom and 30X digital zoom. The selfie camera on the outside and inside is only 10MP.


The body of the device is only offered in Crafted Black and it passes the IP48 waterproof and dustproof standards. The fingerprint scanner is placed on the side built into the power button. The body size of the device is 159.2 x 75.0 x 12.9 mm when folded with a minimum thickness of 3.9 mm when fully opened. The operating system used is One UI 8 based on Android 16.


The Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold will be sold in South Korea first starting December 12 before being offered in China, Taiwan, Singapore, UAE and the United States. The price has not yet been announced by Samsung at this time.
