Samsung this year introduced the Galaxy S25 Edge, a smartphone with a thin design, and was offered in limited quantities in several markets. The smartphone is only 5.8mm thick.
This thin design also makes the battery capacity present small, which is only around 3900mAh. The introduction of this thin smartphone is seen to not receive high demand like other models, and this is seen to have caused Samsung to delay the introduction of updates for it.
According to the latest report from South Korea, it is said that Samsung is delaying the development of a phone with a thin design Galaxy Edge 2, instead focusing more on a phone model with high performance.
This is also seen in line with the relatively low demand for the iPhone Air compared to other models. It is possible that users do not like devices with a thin design, but want devices with more powerful processing power, as well as longer battery life.
