Meta is now seen wanting to integrate a podcast-focused feature into Threads. Through it, it will allow users to upload podcast clips, and thus allow the podcast to have a wider reach than before.
This feature comes in addition to the support for adding podcast links to profiles previously on Threads – making it easier for users to link their profiles to Apple Podcasts, Spotify and iHeart.
As many are aware, today there is no specific platform that gathers and discusses various things related to podcasts, and this move by Threads will make it one of the interesting platforms for this purpose. This, coupled with the support of Threads' algorithm that is very accurate in terms of user access to a particular location, will make the reach and access to a podcast wider.
However, perhaps if you are a podcast publisher, do not put all your focus on the Meta platform alone, since Meta has a track record of changing directions and impacting an industry – including publishing and media before.
