With various parties competing in the artificial intelligence arena, Xiaomi seems not to want to be left behind and is now reportedly developing its own virtual assistant powered by artificial intelligence, called Mi Chat.
Xiaomi MI Chat is expected to use a language model developed by Xiaomi itself, and will be used to integrate it into Xiaomi products, as well as provide a good experience to users in answering various questions.
It is not known whether Mi Chat will only focus on users in China or will also be expanded to the global market. Currently, most Android-based devices come with Gemini integration built-in.
Xiaomi has scheduled their ecosystem event on December 17, 2025, where they are expected to share more about Mi Chat.
