It's December and every year, this is the month when various apps summarize their activities throughout the year. YouTube today began offering the YouTube Recap and YouTube Music Recap features to users.
This is the first time YouTube Recap is offered because previously they only offered Rewind before it was discontinued. Through YouTube Recap, users can see their activities throughout the year through 12 specific cards. Among the things that can be seen are the most popular channels, the most watched topics and also changes in viewing habits throughout the year. It also provides your personality type based on your viewing history.
If you watch a lot of music content, YouTube Recap will list your most popular artists, most streamed songs, favorite podcasts and genres.
YouTube Music Recap provides the same feature but for the music you watch. The amount of time spent in the app, the 5 most popular artists, the 5 most listened to songs and favorite podcasts will also be displayed. All of them are displayed in the form of attractive animations that can then be shared to your favorite social media.
YouTube Music Recap is available through the YouTube Music app today, but YouTube Recap is rolling out to users in the United States first before rolling out to all global users this week. It is accessible through the You tab in the YouTube app or via a direct YouTube Recap link.
