A week after the launch of ChatGPT Health, this morning Anthropic launched Claude for Healthcare with the same capabilities. Claude for Healthcare enables healthcare providers, payers, and consumers to use Claude in a medical context while being HIPAA compliant and ensuring the privacy of users’ personal data is protected.
It uses the Opus 4.5 model and can be used to speed up the request process so patients can get treatment faster, help coordinate patient care to reduce pressure on clinicians’ time, and help speed up the approval process so life-saving drugs can be marketed faster.
Claude Pro and Max customers in the United States can allow Claude to access health records and lab reports. Apple Health and Android Health data will also begin to be integrated into the Claude app on iOS and Android in beta testing.
