One of our favorite smartphones is the ASUS ROG Phone gaming smartphone series, which usually comes out every year with the most powerful internal specifications on the market.
We're sure that many are also waiting to see what happens with the launch of the gaming brand's latest products, but it seems that a report coming out of Taiwan says that ASUS will not introduce any new smartphones this year, which will usually consist of the ASUS ROG Phone and ASUS ZenFone.
According to the report, the price of internal components such as memory and storage that have increased many times has caused ASUS to make this decision. It is expected that this year, ASUS will focus on the development and production of their computer devices, and will postpone the development of new smartphones.
However, this does not mean that ASUS will close their smart device division, and they will continue to introduce feature and security updates for their existing devices, such as the ASUS ROG Phone 9 and ASUS ZenFone 12.
The expectation is that ASUS may reintroduce their smart devices in 2027 where the price of memory components is expected to drop back to previous prices.
