ASUS Unveils World's First WiFi 8 Router at CES 2026

WiFi 8 wireless internet technology is not expected to be widely introduced until 2028. In fact, the standard for the internet technology has not yet been confirmed, and there are still many aspects regarding spectrum usage and so on that still need to be refined.

However, that hasn't stopped certain companies like ASUS from showing off their upcoming offerings at major tech events like CES 2026. At their booth, ASUS has shown off their own WiFi8 router concept product called the ASUS ROG NeoCore Wi-Fi 8 Router.

Not many details are known about the ASUS ROG NeoCore WiFi router at the moment, but what is certain is that it supports tri-band networks and has a larger device support range, perfect for those who want to build a smart home with many connected devices in large numbers.

As mentioned, the ASUS ROG Neocore router is a concept router because the WIFi8 standard has not yet been finalized. However, there is also a possibility that ASUS will still introduce a new product based on these technologies soon.
