Google Search announced the feature of accessing AI Mode directly from answers provided by AI Overview today. It is powered by Gemini3 and according to Google it allows users to have more natural conversations through the AI Mode chatbot interface.
Previously, to access AI Mode, the AI Mode tab had to be pressed first, which required a few extra steps for the user. In testing, Google said users found this new feature made it easier to ask follow-up questions directly from AI Overview and have longer conversations with AI Mode that remembered the context of the original question.
The feature will be rolled out in stages starting today.
