Intel has announced the full details of its Intel Core Ultra Series 3 “Panther Lake” processor series at CES 2026, which is mostly focused on laptops. Intel did not seem to reveal any information about Arrow Lake Refresh, which is an update to the Intel Core Ultra Series 2 processor series for desktops and laptops, at the event.
Now, details about the processor have leaked onto the web, via the GeekBench benchmarking platform, which appears to have been tested on a new Acer Predator laptop that was not announced at CES 2026.
The screenshot of the laptop’s score shows the use of an Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX processor with 24 physical cores (8 Performance cores, 16 Efficiency cores). Currently, Intel’s most powerful laptop processor is the Intel Core Ultra 9 285HX, which comes with the same number of cores, with a maximum frequency speed of 5.5GHz.
This somewhat confirms that the Arrow Lake Refresh series of processor chips will be available on the global market soon, although it seems a bit strange why Intel did not show it at the CES 2026 event.
