Meta is now reportedly planning to reduce the number of employees in their metamesta division, namely Reality Labs. This move is seen to be taken in line with the metamesta division which is seen to be using high expenses to operate, but not generating income in line with it.
Previously, Meta has focused on the development of metamesta, and has made high investments for it. The same business division is also responsible for the development of smart glasses – which is seen to have demand, compared to virtual world software and others.
This move is also seen to be in line with Meta's focus which is now more on the development of its own artificial intelligence model, and requires higher expenses for it.
