The Meta Ray-Ban Display has been updated with three new features to make it the most useful smart glasses on the market. The first feature announced by Meta is typing using the Meta Neural Band EMR wristband.
Meta Ray-Ban Display owners can type by moving one finger on any flat surface. Support is provided in the WhatsApp and Messenger apps with the supported languages being English only at this time.
The second feature is a teleprompter that allows long text for scripts to be displayed on the Meta Ray-Ban Display’s built-in screen. The speed of the teleprompter is controlled using the Meta Neural Band. Text can be imported from the Notes app, Google Docs, and Meta AI.
Finally, navigation map support has been added for the cities of Denver, Las Vegas, Portland, and Salt Lake City. This brings the total number of cities supported by the device’s navigation system to 32.
Meta also announced that sales of the Meta Ray-Ban Display to the UK, France, Italy, and Canada have been delayed due to high demand but limited inventory. The waiting period for the Meta Ray-Ban Display in the United States is already full through 2026. The new launch date for these four countries is still unknown.
