The Ministry of Home Affairs (KDN) announced that the use of MyDigital ID will be made a single login platform for Malaysian citizens using the MyNIISe application.
This official announcement was made via an update on social media and is effective from 15 January 2026. The implementation only applies to Malaysian citizens aged 18 and above while foreign national users will continue to use the existing login method without any changes.
The MyNIISe application is a system used for the purpose of entering the doors of the Sultan Iskandar Building and the Sultan Abu Bakar Complex in Johor Bahru. This application was introduced in September 2025 as a measure to strengthen security controls and facilitate entry and exit at both complexes.
With the integration of MyDigital ID, the identity verification process is expected to become smoother and thus support the government's efforts in expanding the use of digital identities in Malaysia.
