Apart from desktop components, MSI is also one of the leading gaming laptop brands. At CES 2026, they have updated a number of their gaming laptop series offerings with new internal components.
Starting with the MSI Raider 16 Max HX and MSI Raider 16 HX, these two laptops are their most powerful gaming laptops to date. The MSI Raider 16 Max HX in particular is their first laptop to come with a total power consumption of 300W, combining the Intel Core 200 HX series of processing chips (125W) with a choice of NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 or NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 graphics cards (up to 175W).
Both laptops also come with a 16-inch OLED display with 4K resolution and a 240Hz refresh rate and are loaded with DisplayHDR True Black 1000 technology which not only promises a bright display but accurate color processing, suitable for gaming sessions and watching favorite movies and television series on your favorite streaming platform.
Cooling the components of this laptop is the Cooler Boost Trinity with Intra Flow cooling system which uses three internal fans, six heat pipes and five airflow chambers with phase-change thermal paste that helps to conduct heat from the components to the outside of the laptop.
This laptop also comes with a quick-access panel at the bottom which allows users to access components such as memory and storage quickly.
Moving on to the MSI Stealth 16 AI+, this laptop is suitable for those who want a laptop with a minimalist design but powerful specifications. It comes with a combination of the latest Intel Core Ultra Series 3 specifications along with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5000 series graphics card housed in a frame made of aluminum metal that is as thin as 16.6mm and weighs less than 2kg.
It also houses the MSI CoolerBoost Trinity with Intra Flow cooling system similar to what is shown on the MSI Raider 16 Max HX laptop for the best component cooling.
Even with this thin frame, the MSI Stealth 16 AI+ houses a 90WHr battery that allows it to be powered for several hours, and a number of input and output plugs such as two Thunderbolt 4 plugs, two USB 3.2 Type-A plugs, one HDMI 2.1 plug and one RJ-45 Cat 5 plug for wired internet connections.
In terms of wireless connections, both laptops support WiFi 7 wireless connections for the fastest wireless internet connections. The MSI Raider 16 Max HX supports Bluetooth 5.4 wireless connectivity while the MSI Stealth 16 AI+ supports the latest Bluetooth 6.0 technology.
MSI has yet to announce when they will launch these laptops or their price tags.
