NVIDIA Reportedly Will Stop Production of Graphics Cards with 16GB VRAM

As we all know, NVIDIA's current focus as a computer component manufacturer is to produce powerful AI processing chips that can be sold to companies willing to buy them at prices that seem absurd.

Because of this, they have gradually slowed down the production of gaming graphics cards for consumers. For example, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5000 Super graphics card that was supposed to be shown at the CES 2026 event has been postponed until a date to be announced, and may even be canceled altogether.

Recently, it was reported by the computer technology YouTube site Hardware Unboxed that NVIDIA has designated the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti graphics card series as "End of Life" which means that its production will be discontinued.

The graphics card model comes with a total of 16GB of GDDR7 VRAM, and according to them, ASUS, one of NVIDIA's largest component manufacturing partners, said that NVIDIA will stop production of the graphics card and also the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Ti with the same 16GB VRAM configuration.

ASUS also said that they are no longer producing the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti graphics card, and it seems to have said that the graphics card can be said to have been given the “End of Life” status in short.

However, NVIDIA has also been seen to have issued a statement to another German technology site HardwareLuxx and said that NVIDIA will continue to produce all of their NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5000 graphics cards as usual.

What changes are occurring in the GeForce ecosystem given the current memory market?

Demand for GeForce RTX GPUs is strong, and memory supply is constrained. We continue to ship all GeForce SKUs and are working closely with our suppliers to maximize memory availability.

However, the limited supply of GDDR7 memory due to the development of the AI sector will make it difficult for them to produce the components needed to produce these graphics cards, and this will make it difficult for manufacturing partners to produce the graphics cards they want.
