OnePlus has denied rumors that the company is about to shut down. Through an official statement on the X platform, OnePlus India CEO Robin Liu stressed that the viral report is false and the company's operations will continue as usual.
Earlier reports from certain parties previously sparked concerns when they claimed that OnePlus was being dissolved. However, an official statement from Liu completely rejected the claim and assured that the company will continue to operate without any disruption.
If examined from current developments, OnePlus is actually facing several major challenges. OnePlus China CEO Pete Lau was recently issued an arrest warrant in Taiwan on charges of illegal hiring. Meanwhile, according to a report by Omdia Research, OnePlus' sales in 2024 also recorded a decline of 20%.
To adapt this strategy, OnePlus has launched the OnePlus 15 with a focus on performance rather than cameras. This is different from the Oppo Find X9 series which focuses more on the camera system. However, this approach actually allows OnePlus to offer lower prices in the global market.
So far, only OnePlus India has issued an official statement regarding the issue, while Oppo has remained silent without any response.
