OpenAI recently announced the introduction of health features directly to ChatGPT, through ChatGPT Health. Now, a few days later, OpenAI has also announced the acquisition of a health-focused tech company, Torch.
Torch previously developed an integrated health memory that can be used across various AI services, making it easier for users to manage their health data.
OpenAI did not disclose the value of the acquisition, but it is estimated to be around $60 million. With the acquisition, all Torch employees will join OpenAI, and the site has now displayed a notice of their joining OpenAI.
