Printed Motor Vehicle Licenses Will No Longer Be Distributed After 1 February 2026

Pos Malaysia has today confirmed that the Road Transport Department will no longer distribute printed Motor Vehicle Licenses starting 1 February 2026. This also means that the service to print them through Pos Malaysia kiosks will also be discontinued on that date.

This is not a new change. The JPJ has previously said that Motor Vehicle Licenses (LKM) and Malaysian Driving Licenses (LMM) can now be displayed via the MyJPJ application if they need to be shown to officers who request it.

This is also quite interesting because last week we reported that citizens can now request for a physical printed driving license card for a fee of RM20. A physical license may be required if users want to register for an International Drivers’ License to drive abroad.

Pos Malaysia has also said that those who still want a Motor Vehicle License sticker will have to print it at Pos Malaysia locations before 1 February 2026 before the service is discontinued.
