The Spotify Premium subscription price has been increased again in the United States starting February 2026. It has now increased to $12.99 per month compared to the original price of $11.99. The last time the subscription price adjustment was made in the United States was in 2024.
For customers in Malaysia, the price was already increased to RM17.50 per month in August last year from RM15.90 previously. So it can be predicted that the subscription price in Malaysia will only be increased in 2027.
When Spotify was first offered in Malaysia in 2013, it only charged a subscription of RM14.90 per month which remained static for a decade. But with the addition of podcasts, videos and audiobooks, the subscription has become more expensive.
